You can but I think you need to place the order in their name and then if they ask for bank statements for proof of value for duties it may all hit the wall.

It can be done though, I have seen people mention it , I'd also like to know the process.

no that wont work, but you setup your spouse a banggood account and order on theirs with their ID etc
 
A bit OT but how is BG sign up coupons? I received a split 50USD voucher in 2012 when I created account which were useful for high value items. I was considering creating another account or using a proxy if it was worth the while. I have plenty of email addresses used once only for Takealot

Can you still use your own bank account to pay?
And if so will there be any issue when customs asks for bank statements to verify the value?

customs has never once asked me anything coz Buffalo handles everything
so as long as paperwork is in order there wont be questions
as far as i know
 
Did an order from BG on Sunday and just got an email from Buffalo requesting my IDno to be entered on their site.
I chose the Tax Free option and my package have not even left China yet, thought they would only ask for ID/Importer's-code when it landed in SA.

Also, their site claims only 2 packages per year with max total value of 20K, before Importer's code is required :(

They are pretty much on the ball
Tax clearance is complete by the time that the shipment lands in SA.

Sorry for all the questions, I just like to know what i'm dealing with and variables and whether it's worth the risk or just buy a similar phone here for more.

@GSRit01 did you end up ordering the phone? Also was looking at it but not sure about the CN version though
 
The tracking status for my order from BG has been sitting on "Detained by CBCU" for a week now. Does that mean it has been selected for further inspection? Is there anything I need to do besides just wait? Thanks

Its just a waiting game now. If buffalo needs anything from you they will contact you.
It has always resolved by itself for me.

You lucky yours wasn't detained, mine would probably been delivered in 12-14 days, but currently sitting on 22 days due to customs.

I did 2 orders at the same time. The second one is a bit slower but its probably a weight thing.
Cleared customs same day it arrived.
 
Tracking updated, release by CBCU. Now have to wait for delivery, probably Tuesday.
