Now I need to ask a few things:

1) Is everything compatible with each other?
2) Is it a good price for the specs?
3) Will it be suitable for me as a gaming pc? I have a budget of about R5000. Is this the best I could do? I want to be able to upgrade in the future.
4) Is IkonicIT reliable? I have read one or 2 topics about them here but I feel like I need some more opinions.

Thanks everyone!

PS: Hello I'm new here :>

Everything is good , try to get a 5770 and 4 gigs of ram , try pcint.co.za for some of those prices . BTW the 550 is great cpu , put it in my brothers new pc and it runs great.

Good luck

^Yeah that's the plan.

But the mobo will fit in the case etc and all that jazz? Oh and what about ikonicIT?

Thanks for the replies, and thanks flash for the reassurance. Was a wee bit doubtful about the 550 initially.

Wow IkonicIT seem pretty cheap... could you tell me what their service is like once you've received your stuff.

Im also not so sure about the 5750... most places sell an entry level 4870 for less then that.

The 5750 performs on the level of a 4850, while the 5770 performs like the 4870.

PC looks good. Just add 2gigs more ram.

Ikonic are a decent enough online store. I ordered a some items from them over the past few months. They were pretty efficient in picking up payments etc, but I got the feeling that they were not very knowledgeable about their products. But I suppose if you know exactly what you want it won't be a problem.

Also, you MUST ask them to wrap/package your stuff properly. The first item I ordered was a mobo and it just came in its box and one of those prepaid post office bags. It was not broken or anything but you can see how this may have gone wrong. When I spoke to them about it before I placed the second order it was bubble wrapped etc...

Awesome then I think I'm set. Can someone comment on the price I'm getting this at? I was pretty chuffed with it when I did the math ^_^
