And the Sharks do? How far has their style of play gotten them? Huh? Before we carry on even entertaining your neanderthal way of thinking, I suggest you win something decent like a S14/15 then we can argue. Right now you just making a lot of noise about a team who hardly ever wins & cries (refs) when they lose.

At least you will make the top 4? Hahahahahaha... Dude, last time I checked if you didn't come first, you didn't win. ;) There no such thing as we almost had it or we nearly beat them. You either win the CC or you don't, its simple.

I think he means finish in the top 4, qualifying for play-offs and suggesting that we won't. Now, last year, they did in fact finish in the top 4 - atop the pile, IIRC. And then, the 4th place Cheetahs went and ruined their party. The previous year they finished 1st and won for the first time in 12 years. This year, they will again be denied, even if we have to do it at Kingspark for the final.
 
Bulletjies better pull up their sokkies... Leopards up 7-0 after 12 minutes.

But what the hell is it with the pitch? Reminds me of what the Western Transvaal fields looked like in the 80's!!

I watch all the games and comment fairly (I think). For the first 20-30 minutes the Bulls did not play to their potential and the Leopards took advantage of it. It is very possible that the pitch conditions did affect their play and that it took them some time to adjust.

Perhaps, but I perceive your fair comments as rose-tinted depending on how the outcomes favour or prejudice other teams (See?) Nothing wrong with that at all - hell, some of us (myself especially) are far less subtle. Perhaps I should have put one of those winking smilies or something in my previous post. That said, those familiar with the Bulls gameplay will notice that while it is not regular enough to be a rule, we do not need to lead a game from the beginning to win it. We're quite happy to use 20 to 30 minutes to define and refine our attack for the particular opposition on the particular day. The game is not won in the first 20 minutes just like the S14, CC, etc are not won at the beginning of the season (unless of course its us - we win the S14 at the beginning of the season...)

Oh, wait, almost forgot...

You will find that I am in all the fan based threads as well.

I am a Cheetah supporter but firstly I am a rugby supporter and that is why I discuss rugby in all the threads.

I am sure D3x is exactly the same.

I think both are equally as nervous hey ...... I mean, who doesn't want a home semi after all.

I am a Bulls fan but the difference between you & I is that I can stand up & say on the day my team was beaten. I don't need to make excuses about this & that. We were beaten by a much hungrier Cheetah squad on the day. And yes, I am in a few different threads when it comes to discussing Rugby but besides that, I also enjoy the Cheetah's style of play. They play like the Blue's & Reds do & that to me is very entertaining to watch.

100% but besides that, I love watching Cheetahs play, they run with the ball from their own 10M.

On another note, well done to the Bulls for pulling it back. Poor old Gurthro breaking his arm is sad. He was playing so well lately. Looking forward to Sharks & WP this weekend.

But now the only thing we can do is focus on our game and play the cards we are dealt.

Yip the Pumas one wasn't one that was expected.
Or is it helping us now.
But I am very confident. I wasn't confident at all on Friday night but...
The Boks coming back and we are in a good position. We are almost certain of a semi final spot.
And playing the Griquas helps the Boks get their composure together.

Ja, I was also thinking this when I realised the best we can finish is 3rd unless:
* somehow the cheaters don't get a bonus against leopards (highly unlikely)
* we beat the griquas by more than 50 pts plus whatever the cheaters PD will be against leopards (even more unlikely)

No matter - like D3x says no pt in getting all worked up. Last year, we finished the season 3rd. Tank on Sport24 (don't really enjoy his comments but...) says we're the semifinal to avoid.
