Bulls vs Stormers

There's a thread for the Sharks? Hmm...

I've been saying for the past few weeks that the best purchase the Sharks could make right now for the Currie Cup, would be to get hold of Willem De Waal. I think he is one of the most under rated players in the country and now he warms the bench for the Stormers while Plumtree tries to justify playing Pienaar at 10. Even Monty Dumont is better at 10 than Pienaar!

De Waal would bring a whole new dimension to the Sharks and in combination with Cockett I think we'd be doing better than OK.

Best news I heard all year is that Pienaar is going to Ireland! Yay!!!!
 
The match is not truly a "Home Game", the Stormers first series end game match, they have the motivation to win and a team to do it, so do the bulls, the fact it is a home crowd could help the bulls, however Stormers fans are fanatical and will be a big part of the crowd.

I vote stormers.....
 
I always find the Blue bulls supporters sub-standard. They're like that distant relative you wish would never come and visit, you know... the one who always farts at the dinner table, shouts obscenities at your domestic worker... ;)

Ricky didn't score the try, after he tried to dot down the ball was kicked back by Fourie and then some other plonker got it and dived over. I think it was Zane Kirshner but can't be certain. Pissed me off as I lost a R100 bet as I would have been closest to the score if they did not get that try.

Well done to the Bulls

Must say though, the Stormers have been absolutely fantastic this Super series. From being known as an average team some time ago to making it to the Super14 final really is awesome stuff!

:erm: No. Steyn was leading from the start. Seriously... or do you think he just took the most points in a Super season record because he scored + - 150 points in two games?

Pienaar ended on 104 points, steyn ended on 263. That is 94 points clear of the second highest point scorer this year.

Morne Steyn only looks good because he gets quality ball from Du Preez. If he doesn't have the ball in good time he's useless as a flyhalf, especially on defence.

Spies is over-rated and so is Matfield (IMO). I think Bekker will munch him in the line and will out run him any day.

Eish Spies sure failed yesterday... Matfield also looked pretty weak. Morne steyn again showed why he is the joke of world rugby and o boy did the stormers get a good look at Hougaard's hair when he broke the line and scored that try... Shame what a sorry outfit the bulls are :(

I have no relatives that fit that description but if you say you do, perhaps you should rather be pruning your family tree before trying to make out that BULLSFANS are anything like that inbred uncle/father of yours you have just described above...
 
I have no relatives who paint themselves blue or wear cow rings in their noses (or listen to sakkie-sakkie music with a Klippies in one hand).

...behaviour which is very tame compared to what your distant relative above does. painting ourselves blue, wearing nose rings, listening to "sakkie sakkie" muisc (whatever that may be) and enjoying Klippies is completely innocent.

Stormers can hold their heads high. They played exceptionally well through the S14 and fully deserved their place in the final. Bulls are just unstoppable at the moment. It all bodes well for SA rugby as a whole. The Currie Cup should be a fantastic tournament and I am looking forward to it. Really hope the Sharks will do well ;)

I'm a huge Bulls fan and I'm an English speaking guy that doesn't drink at all and wouldn't think of painting myself blue, nor do I listen to sakkie sakkie music. Stereo typing is not on bud. Sharks fan sour grapes?

Fixed. VC is a great competition. Going to the matches allows you to enjoy a somewhat calmer day with a sneak peak into development.
 
Ah well, we had some great weather here on the weekend. :)

Well played bulls, they deserve it.
Ref was crap for both sides, but bulls were too strong anyway.
