Saw on their Facebook page - The Zone will be opening on wednesday 19 Feb.
So queues everywhere else should be less

Update on queues please

Went to the Centurion one yesterday morning. They open at 10am. Joined the queue at 9:51, six people in front of me already! They started serving at 9:59, I placed my order at 10:03, walked out of there 10:06.

Was my very first time buying at Burger King. Ordered the Big King XXL and cheese & chilli nuggets. The XXL burger is about the same size as a McFeast from McD. The patties tasted similar to Steers patties, they have more of a flame grilled taste than McD. Apart from that, it actually tasted very similar to a Big Mac. The nuggets were good, not hot at all, just spicey.

Will try more items from their menu in subsequent visits, but just wanted to satisfy my initial curiousity

I also checked out Centurion last week Thursday, about 10 min que had formed when we got there around 12 but not so bad. Was quite good actually, significantly better than MCD's, and similar to the old Steer taste from a few years back. Would definitely have more if they had more branches closer to me.

Had XXL King meal with shake.

I went to the Centurion BK yesterday afternoon. I had the Big King XXL and a small chips. I went at 17:00 and I only had one person in front of me, and walked out with my food about 3 minutes later.
Verdict: The Burger was OK, better that what I remember McD (I last ate McD about 4 years ago) and on a par with a Steers burger, I would probably not buy another one in a hurry, but to put it in perspective - I'm not fond of takeaway food. However nothing beats a burger from Burger Bar or one that I make at home.

no fourways branch yet - think hes confusing it with the sandton one.

Yeh I thought so. I really thought they would have opened one in the Fourways area by now, lots of money waiting to be made.

Queues at the Sandton branch is still stupid. It was past that play ground into the parking lot at the back at 11 this morning...

Wish you had posted this before I drove out lunch time. Line is insane. Had a mcfeast instead.

Well it's just a case of demand exceeds supply. What's it now, 3 or 4 stores in the whole of SA?
