Burger King Review

Drove past the Rivonia store at 14:30, cars parked on the pavement all along Rivonia Road on the bend past the Shell garage up there. Lines are full, don't think anything is dying down.

i cant help but wonder what kind of people are spending hours lining up for what can only be described as an overwhelmingly pedestrian hamburger.

Highlight was some dude who kept asking why they didn't have bacon. I understand his frustration, but why stand in a queue just to cause a scene. Chop.

BK is known for their bacon overseas. It would be reasonable to expect the same bacon options in SA yet we are forced to accept a watered-down product in order to cater to the Islamofacists.

Praise Allah

Aren't Jews not suppose to be having bacon as well though?

I'm sure about the Islamic faith but is it slight different for Judaism?

Dude, don't be racist now.

Sometimes they're just driving out of town to hide their gold...

At least once a year I have to go to England and use the opportunity to gorge myself on BK and McDs. :)

What an under whelming site!

One thing I find curious is no drive thrus...

In fact their sites seem quite lowkey. Interesting that they've signed with Sasol and will be opening at petrol stations.

Not sure I get their strategy actually. It's quite lowkey and conservative for now.

First BK I had was in Munich, swine capital ;) Both bacon AND cheese, ain't nothing kosher or haraam about that!

After some thought about this it's quite smart.
Mcdees are their biggest competition, they have no affiliations with filling stations.
Sasol is a South African brand.
BK will make its way to the malls and have independent stores with drive through.
Also KFC and mcdees probably have every available site covered already.

Jews (on paper), stonch Christians, ZCC, some Hindus and other Indians, Muslims, healthy people don't favour bacon.

A jew that doesn't eat bacon for religious reasons won't eat milk and meat together either. Also advertising halaal won't motivate a jew to visit a BK either. It's like advertising a kosher restaurant and expecting Muslims to frequent it.

Personally I don't get the halaal drive.

I think you mean "staunch".

Personally though, I have never met any Christian who doesn't like bacon.
