Business uncapped ADSL pricing compared

even jack maestro can see that vodascum is way overpriced conmpared to MWeb on the 10Mbs product. Cant say much about open web. Mweb FTW!!!!!

Guys instead of just saying Epic Fail all the time... how about informing the rest of us of the market leading deals on which you based your opinion. It would be good to know who is leading the way and by what margin... not just read 'Epic Fail' all the time!

Forgive me for this - but isn't that what the whole article was about? :p Oh, and nobody has said 'Epic Fail' yet in this thread :)

Epic Fail.

:wtf: It's an 'EPIC FAIL' finish and klaar!

Yes I get it... EPIC FAIL... but who else offers 10mbps ADSL for business... and how do their rates compare... the article only shows VC, MWEB and OpenWeb. Clearly OpenWeb are off the mark and MWEB are probably the cheapest, but what about the rest, how does VC compare to the rest?

I think no one at the moment is offering these products, not with static ips at these prices besides the above companies. I will look it up too though, I might find uncapped at that speed, but I doubt it will be with Static ips. I know that the MWEB product is also Unshaped, not sure about VC.

Tx, Oracle666... I tried Helkom.co.za, but they don't list business 10mbps... reason I asked is we're switching from 3G to ADSL for small office... how does SSH, FTP do on a normal shaped uncapped account, like MWEB offer?

What i know so far is that ISPs like MWEB are no longer shaping per port, but application and protocol. FTP(21) will probably depend on where the connection comes from, so shaping might apply the same way like Http if it comes from common download sites like rapidshare and megaupload.. But then again, are you referring to you setting up an FTP server or connecting and downloading from one. Cos if you just downloading, then dont get these packages if you have no need for a static IPs. There are much cheaper 10mbps uncapped packages.

And the raping continues. These prices are so f'd up, even if they are for "businesses", they might as well consider what these companies are doing a crime. Someone better add this ish on the next crime report statistics.

Now I wonder what is better, 1 8mb DSL line or 2x 4mb lines. They're both the same, in terms of price and I imagine there is some basic form of redundancy having 2x lines, in that if one line goes down, there is another.

but speed wise? I ask because we use 2x 4mb lines.
