Just got home.

Was good - no news songs but all his well known hits + he was great at entertaining the crowd whilst not beeing 100% (suffering from a cold)

Traffic was kak and security chaotic and clueless. (They searched me 4x and my friend not at all)

When I got back to my car my boot window had been smashed and my gym bag and 2 jackets stolen from my boot (was not visible under the boot cover) so that sucks :-(

sucks that your car got Broken into something like that can really put a dampner on an evening

Need some insight from the peeps who went to the CPT show last night, asseblief.

Going tonight for FPK, Offspring and Groendag. Planning on leaving my house at 3pm.

  1. What queues to expect, time to get in?
  2. Chances of smokkeling a few edibles into the venue (I know they don't allow outside food/drink but thought I could tell them its for "bloodsugar" lol)
  3. Traffic/Ubers getting out?
 
where I was in the stands there were a few people lighting up joints.

I am pretty sure I saw a few people snorting something as well, it was during bad habbit so I found it too fitting to do anything about that one.

They are very strict about Food and Drink though, multiple check points at FNB that made sure you did not get though with anything
 
The park and ride, is it myciti buses that can shoot through the traffic on the dedicated bus lanes? Or general buses stuck like everyone else. Can't decide if i should take up that option or just park and VA.
 
Just so you all know its raining in Cape Town at the moment, Which means if you are standing the ground will be wet for tonights concert

i walked in with a backpack and while they checked me with the magic wand 4x they never checked inside the backpack.
They also didn't search my fiance's handbag so security is pretty much a joke.
 
I went past the stadium at 1pm and there was already a long line of people waiting to go into the stadium. Apparently they want to be first. Sounds a bit ridiculous to me. Who is that desperate to go into the stadium and wait

the folks that pay for golden circle / front of the stage get to go in earlier to make sure they get the spot
 
access control is a **** show. Takes forever to get in. Seems to be lots of issues with Ticketmaster app.

Once inside, if you go buy beer, buy lots. There are hopelessly too few bars and the stadium isn’t even close to capacity yet.

Sound engineers need to be fired. Never heard FPK sound so **** in my life.

Also, no proper beer. Selection is only Castle Lite and flying fish and something called black crown - and the beer stall doesn’t have any water or soft drinks, so you need to go into a separate que for that.

Serious buyers remorse so far… hoping the international bands make up for it.
