Call for increased military budget

There is some merrit... currently the Moz and Zim borders are a free-for-all..

Altho using RPG's to stop people climbing the fence is a bit overkill (pun intended)

yeah,we should spend money on more frequent patrols and build a massive moat and fill it with crocodiles and all sorts of nasties...

We need more anti-aircraft guns. The last lot are broken.

But makes you think that the last lot of bribe money has been spent

I think theyre jumping the gun here...I would first train the recruit how to use a weapon :D

Yeah but that won't change anyway, the government thinks turning on the electric fence would be inhumane.

for what?mozambique going to send a 737 fortress(ak47's with loopholes)into our airspace?i dont think theres a country in southern africa with an airforce half as decent as ours...

imagine the rolling black outs if our entire border was electrified

Imagine all the squatter camps that will be built along the fence, tapping into all that "free" power.

that too!!

i think id move to the border...free electricity and free dirty water from the orange river!!what more could a man want!?!

Sorry if that was too subtle.

The inquiry into to the shooting at Luhatla concluded that the AA guns were faulty. It wasn't operator error.

lol true. Either way SA needs to secure the border which they seem unwilling to do. Of course it won't help much since half of Zim, Nigeria etc. is already here, with fake documents thanks to Home Affairs.

Do you guys think it's for self defence or for suppressing possible uprisings over poor service delivery (including power cuts)?

Probably just a cover for the next round of bribery and corruption.

They would kill the crocs, turn them to leather and use a croc leather wallet to bribe the border patrol.

We are the African super power

Dueling with the likes of America, China, India and Russia

*cough*

Zuma says we musnt worry - he will take care of this personally.
Buyelwa Sonjica reckons we should sleep on the idea
Alec Irwin is worried that we will become victims of our own weapons
Mbeki thinks (was told by his advisors) that we should buy our weapons from Zimbabwe
And Poison Ivy is confused as to why the head of communications for the defence force spray painted an X on her roof.
