Camera Insurance ?

Ah. I don't really leave my stuff unattended. Always with me or an assistant, or somewhere one of us can see it.

Happens on a regular basis for me - just the nature of the job.

Also, given the uprising in remote jamming going on this would also raise a red flag with me.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS FOR VEHICLES

c) Access to the vehicle must have been by Forcible and Violent Entry

Hmm... can't jamming be argued to be the forcible disabling of security precautions?

I feel you.. But not really an issue for me on either count.

You want to risk it then by all means - I'm used to getting paid out within days of a claim. It's vital that I am.

Unfortunately not , Google it many tearful people out of pocket for many R10k after falling victim to remote jammers. No signs of forced entry equals no pay out when it comes to theft from vehicles, also it must be in a locked boot for artinsure to pay out.

Suppose you need to have a bit of due diligence or else they'll be paying claims out till the cows come home and be wide open to fraud.

I shopped around a while ago... to insure my bag of bodies and lenses. Total value is around R150k the best option I found was Discovery Insure on specified items (I pay around 350 I think). I have my car with Outsurance but they were quite a bit more for the camera stuff.

Made my first claims from ArtInsure. Two separate items broke within two weeks. Things went smoothly, they have paid out and I have ordered replacements.

Broke as in accident damage or wear n tear?
