Camera roll backup

Notebook with Windows 10 doesn't give the option to open an explorer window when iPhone 6 is connected. Need a way to copy all pics from camera roll to notebook so that I can back them up to another device.

Any ideas ?

Thanks. Will give it a shot. Wife's notebook has older version of windows which picked up the phone so busy copying the pics there

I think I had the same problem and deleted the apple usb driver or whatever it was that came up in device manager. Remove and plug phone in again and it popped up. Worth a shot.

Install iTunes which installs the driver and then it will show up as a camera.

Also use Google Photos.

You still have to install itunes first for the driver.

Would suggest to just install Google Photos and let that do the backups for you. Have almost a 1TB of photos that I pushed up to Google Photos taken with my cellphones over the last few years, and it's stored there for free.

I also did the plug phone in and copy for a bit, but one forgets once in a while and the backup devices can fail.
