Can I be?

Shame boet, not one comment. I know sweet fa about pro beat making but that sounds pretty good to me.

Kick is a little flat and you need some swing with the hats. I'd suggest working on some punch in the kick and compressing a better range out of it with some bass sounds. Play with the levels and intricate timing of the hats - they're also very flat. You need some EQ and perhaps some controlled reverb on them.

It's a start, so don't get despondent, but it needs some more advanced work to get right...

Dj how will I know when I've got it right? Do I need tutorials for this or I'll just know? The one thing I don't understand is compression, maybe if I understand that better I'll be on my way to being a pro? And is it always important to EQ your drums? The one thing I always EQ is the pyrex bass then I bass boost it, guess that's what makes it fat (too fat?)
