Can I (Really) Trust Hellopeter Reviews?

I don't use HelloPeter anymore, Google reviews just have much better coverage and tend to be more reliable.
i was contacted randomly by a number I dont know to do reviews for local fast food chains for a payment per positive review on google. When I checked that store, they had over 100 positive reviews within an hour.

Link to the Google business page?

I'm not saying you must take reviews at face value, I make sure to go through the reviews look at the dates of the reviews and the content, who else the reviewer has reviewed and if it seems consistent, messages from the owner, etc.

I'd be curious to see how long those bought reviews stay up as there are systems to detect this kind of thing.

I have had my review deleted twice and they cannot tell what I need to change to get my review accepted. All I'm trying to share is a court ruling that is a public document anyway. The company admitted guilt on all counts and paid the fines but somehow Hellopeter deleted my review and threateded to close my account. All I was trying to share was my experience with my managing agents at the Ombud and the Ombud's ruling now that the case is closed.

Subject: Sandak-Lewin Trust found guilty of fraud and stealing clients money

On 26 July 2023, all four directors of Sandak-Lewin Trust were found guilty of fraud and improper conduct on all 6 charges relating to the Debt Collectors Act 114 1998. The charge sheet and ruling is attached to this message.

Sandak-Lewin Trust admitted guilt on all counts and paid the fines imposed.

The Sandak-Lewin Trust directors admitted to :

1. Overcharging for services (300% above prescribed).
2. Making use of fraudulent representations in their defense.
3. Presenting forged minutes during the inquiry.
4. Presenting incomplete levy statements to a scheme member.
5. Fraudulently misrepresenting a late payment as a debt payment.
6. Deceiving a customer by hiding debt collection fees in a separate account.
7. Charging fees on an account that was not in debt.
8. Collecting more than legally allowed expenses and fees.

Anybody who pays levies or rental to Sandak-Lewin Trust should ask their trustees to audit their body corporate accounts to get the fraudulent fees reimbursed. This has been going on for years and you might have a lot of money returned.
do you know the lawyers that were used to lodge the case against Sandak-Lewin?

Reading the poor, disjointed English in the reports on HP, I would suggest

1 - Many people genuinely get conned buying rubbish, or an item with an optimistic performance claim
2 - Some expect a product or service to provide far more than it is designed for
3 - People buy an incorrect product and blame the supplier

I see the same on Takealot reviews.

Bought 320gb hard drive, only 300gb space.

Also, especially on other sites like Temu, AliExpress, etc. 5 stars, "Haven't used product, looks good. Fast shipping"

What the fk.
