Can I trust the Telkom Mobile coverage map

Hi All,

I'm considering porting to Telkom Mobile after 2 years of pain with Cell C. According http://www.telkom.co.za/coverage/, Im covered for 2g, 3g and LTE at home. How reliable is this map? Anyone had any issues where they said they had coverage but had a different experience?

Other's have. Just check on your phone or get a Telkom prepaid SIM to test with.

(Android to check networks: Settings > More > Mobile Network >Search Networks > lists all the networks for me, your phone could differ)

You can never 100% determine coverage regarding wireless, it will always be a prediction based on assumptions. Get the prepaid SIM as suggested, that is the most fool proof method.

Anyone know if telkom will port a prepaid number. So prepaid cell c to prepaid telkom or do I have to take a contract
