My telkom line has been struck by lightning, one month ago.
They came to check whats wrong and found a issue on their side but nobody came to fix it.
Its been reported 9 times now.
 
Have you made sure there are no faults on your equipment?
Tested your router elsewhere?
Does your LAN port still work?

In light of what happened to me last year: keep reporting it. Eventually you should get a call from a quality department. Someone will come out & look at your stuff & take pics if needs be to prove if it is or isn't your fault & the problem will be esculated.

If you call faults - do they know about the problem & what do they say the problem is?
 
Firstly, router got smoked, all the lines inside the house arc'd together, two whole computers died... (thats all on my side, but I replaced them already).
The lightning struck right through a lightning protection device and melted it to bits...

The Telkom boytjie checked everything else (their side of the line) and found wires burnt underground.
Everything is WiFi now, didn't check phones yet because I don't really need them.

I went in store to escalate it, but honestly, they just dont care.
 
...sad thing is, I'm still paying the full bill for nothing.
And this is one of their "premium" packages.
