south african net cant grow as our isp's pricing is rediculous. ppl just plain out cant afford it
 
2040?!?! That's 31 years away! Think where we were 31 years back (1978). (no laptop, no cellphone, no shaving or haircuts...)

Keyboards and mice will be a thing of the past in the next 10 years (I actually think by 2015), there are already game controllers on sale that process thought patterns (like the one by Emotiv). Screens are soon to follow (there's some good research coming along)... The whole way we interface with computers has always been ridiculous... I guess that's all we have so far...

Broadband, I'd hope, should be totally wireless by then... Maybe we'd get a computer (with onboard wireless chip) integrated into our brain at birth and then be educated via regular educational broadcasts, gee whizz, wouldn't that be something :-)!!!
