Or the is it a scam? I've been ogling playing the Euro lotto after I read an article, while in Europe on holiday, of a guy winning something like 90 million Euros. I Googled it and is seems like online gambling in SA is illegal. I can't find out if it is illegal to play online, international, lottery as well, as you can play the local one online. I suppose that if you win a few million Euros they will have to pay it into your bank account and SARS won't miss such an amount. So, is https://lottostar.co.za a scam or legit?

No, it's legit. It's run by the Mpumalanga gambling board.

It's fixed odds betting, not gambling, technically. And you don't win Euros, you win Rands, since it's local. You don't actually play the Euromillions etc. lotteries, you basically just bet on their outcomes.

Besides, you can play the national lottery online as well.

They spent a fortune on 947 as an introduction to who they are. Primedia would not have gone with them had they not been legit. I think you are safe.

99% of fixed betting firms in South Africa are legit and follow strict licensing requirements from their respective license holding provinces. Definitely safe at lottostar.
