Canal+ axes Showmax

There's no ways they would allow the remaining Showmax vouchers etc. to just become nul and void after April, they must have a plan.


Yip, I said earlier it makes business sense to go that route.
Its just a bit sad as many folks in that industry went through multichoice at some point in their career. Its a pretty big loss to the tech industry.
Wouldn't there be new opportunities with the Canal+ app? It's going to be throughout Africa
(I think they already have it in a few countries.)

There may be but there are already existing teams and you would be competing on a global scale. Very small chance of any juniors/interns/inexperienced candidates getting hired whereas they were a bit of an incubator locally.

and they are looking to cut costs - so there were always going to be less jobs.

No way they would axe Showmax and preserve ALL the jobs
