Cancelling Rain

@rain_mobile I have the R700 5G Router, currently I'm happy with the speeds. The only issue I have is even with speeds over 50Mbps I still buffer watching YouTube or DSTV now. I also noticed that International speedtest is only 5Mbps.

Otherwise its working perfectly.

The Signal is full and getting 95% with Optimization, is there anything else I can do?

So I clicked the cancel button yesterday, got the customer service reps response, answered telling him it is with immediate effect and that was it. Today I see I can still cancel it on the site so it is either still active or their portal isn't smart enough to know to know the account is "cancelled/pending cancellation".

I guess my real question is - have anybody here managed to cancel Rain, is it straight forward or am I in for "fight" like with Telkom?
Well apart from having almost no internet access the last 2 days, I can since yesterday 1) not get onto their website entirely because it is under construction, and yeah their cancel button also does not work today. I guess that is a way to keep customers. So Here RAIN I AM CANCELLING MY RAIN. NO MORE CHARGING FROM 1 MARCH.

How do I know you are really from rain and not some sicko just wanting to get email addresses? Where is anyone here who's rain you actually cancelled?

Meh. They're working fine for me and didn't have any issues with their support.
Their website has been down/not working for 2 days now. I can not cancel a thing. And a couple of weeks back I want to get 5g , and could also not cancel 4g and change to 5g, because none of the buttons worked. Now you must just ma be the one born with the golden spoon in the mouth...

You should know that Rain shapes the ever living **** out of YT. 5G in South Africa can only do a single 720p video stream on Unlimited Home Standard.

I thought as much when I saw the deal, but I spoke to a consultant that told me the minimum I should expect is 720P

So I though overall experience should be 720P but on days its not busy it will run 4K Streaming.

Unfortunately Rain is the only affordable way for me to use the Internet currently, moved from a Complex that had Fibre to a new Complex that has Fibre all around it except in my Complex, FML.
