Cannabis & Shroom Trip Thread

Same here, improves eyesight as well. Don't need reading glasses on weed. Also sense of smell, taste and touch is heightened, which seems like ten-fold.

Language is declined though with terrible spelling and grammar.

I been rolling mom some joints for pain & she also commented on the improved eyesight thing, reminded her that one of the first pushes for legalizing cannabis was around glaucoma/the eyes..

Seems like enhanced physical senses is a common occurrence.

Tried searching related scientific studies on hearing but could only find papers for experiments in the 70's, only testing whether hearing got worse while stoned. No groups were tested to ascertain whether hearing improved.

You need to try DMT ! Makes the shrooms look silly.

Find alot of synesthesia with shrooms . Tasting what you hear or smell what you see.

That's like saying a hammer makes a screwdriver look silly.

I don't agree. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
I think you'll get more depth of discussion by focusing on single substances. There's no need to lump them together as they both offer different experiences & it makes about as much sense as starting the cannabis & alcohol experiences thread. It would be more interesting to see parallels between substance-specific experiences.

If someone can start a shroom trip thread I'll request an name change for this one.

Very trippy bad trip.

After working the night shift (after having some flu), me and a few buddies decided to go for a shroom in Tokai forest. About 11 pm or so, completely dark, we needed torch light to find our way through the trees somewhere into the middle.. no idea really. We figured we were deep enough in that people wouldnt see us (on another trip to the same forest, we thought this and were wrong.. had a random join our circle who had done time, another story).

Anyway, it wasnt cold, quite pleasant and we were about 15min in after eating the shrooms and had just found our "spot". With an LED lantern in the middle to illuminate our space. Of course you couldnt see further than the first trees as the shadows blacked out everything else. Would seem as if you were in a box. This is when it started to go south for me. I started feeling the initial nauseousness but it didnt let up, started to make me feel quite ill but not ill to the point of throwing up. Whole body started to shiver, and all I could do was lie there in a fetal position while my buddies have a real good time. But, in all this weird nauseating shivering, I had the most intense shroom trip I can remember. My vision was pixelated, similar to an intense trip on liquid I had, and all I could focus on were the moving pixels bouncing between the trees which seemed to form the walls of our little spot. I thought we were in a closed room somewhere, forgot we were in a forest. My body would shiver/shake, starting at my feet and working its way up to my stomach. I dont really know how to explain it other than it sort of works like the waves of shroominess you get when tripping. Those moments when you need to just catch your breath cause the shrooms are peeking, and this feeling to me comes in waves and moves through my body. The shivering was doing that, would end up with my teeth chattering before it started at my feet again. Couldnt smoke any weed, couldnt drink anything. Didnt once need to throw up, or have a need to stand up. Was so weird.

I started to sober up around the time everyone was preparing to leave. Very similar trip time for all of us. By the time I got to the car, I was fine.

Never happened again, but I remember it so vividly.

Other than that, had some of the best and scary shroom trips in Newlands forest with the dried up river and all the spiders that made it their home.

Man I love shrooms.

Not with sober people. They don't understand me.
Fair enough but it does make listening to boring conversation more interesting. One time I listened to a discussion about the techniques of sword forging like it was the most interesting topic on earth.

@Surv0 Sounds like a really interesting and intense trip.

Is it possible you were shivering in part due to feeling a little chilly? Seems like shrooms enhance the senses. First and only eating shrooms resulted in me shivering in the shade and feeling a burning sensation in the sun.

Was a warm night hey, but my body was running a temp for sure.. like the poison was just a little too much for me at the time. But yeah, I also go through temp fluctuations on shrooms.

The actual shivers were trippy in themselves, the way they worked up my leg from my foot.. weirdest sensation, similar to a muscle twitch, but happening in waves from bottom to top.

When I was very much younger I had a thing for steelbond in plastic bags mixed with random stuff.

Like mushrooms.

All I can say is safe space or expect life changing consequences.

Sensations while tripping on shrooms is really strange, being totally aware but having no control. My husband was pulling faces on his trip and felt very conscious about it but just had to ride it out until he had control of his face again.

What is steelbond? And what do you consider to be your safe space?

Steelbond is a form of contact adhesive that has an ingredient which when inhaled on its own causes a trip mostly consisting of forgetfulness. When used with psycodelics, it turns the world into "John dies at the end" type insanity for a few hours.

Another thing I would not recommend is codiene and schrooms, or acid.

Both end up closer to an extremely lucid datura trip than any human would want to endure...
