Had some cheese whilst stoned and it was the best cheese I ever tasted even though it was bargain bin goudaSeems like enhanced physical senses is a common occurrence.
Tried searching related scientific studies on hearing but could only find papers for experiments in the 70's, only testing whether hearing got worse while stoned. No groups were tested to ascertain whether hearing improved.
Used to dabble in psychedelics in my early days (18-27). Never had a bad trip once, until the last shroom trip back in 2012. Honeypot shrooms from the legends in Fourways. Went overboard and had 3 pots in one go, at home in my room. Started off really well, curtains moving on their own, lights brightening, feelings of euphoria...
Then it took a turn for the worse. Started to lose touch with reality, almost Inception like. As it went deeper, I felt as if I was getting further away from myself. In that intense paranoia, I began to feel as if I had destroyed my life by taking this dose, and the hallucinations intensified tenfold. Similar to others, I curled up into a fetal position, closed my eyes (holy sh*t, the things I saw) and battled through it for hours.
Bounced back to life after a couple of hours feeling completely drained and traumatized. That trip changed me forever. I went from an aspiring psychonaut, to someone who now hates being in a position where I am potentially not in control of my actions and my mind. I do miss it sometimes, but I can't bring myself to touch psychedelics again. It was the first, and only, time in my life where I truly felt as if I had lost control of my mind. Now, the fear prevents me from ever braving it again!
One day though, I hope to do a shamanic led ayahuasca 'cleanse' and a pilgrimage to the himalayas with some charas!
What is it with weed and cheese that makes it taste so heavenly?Had some cheese whilst stoned and it was the best cheese I ever tasted even though it was bargain bin gouda

Cannabis is not a psychedelicReason for suggestion?
In dispute. This article explains the lack of reasearch on cannabis. Speaking from personal observations I've experienced both hallucinations and expansion of consciousness. Surely I can't be the only one.Cannabis is not a psychedelic
Marijuana isn't typically thought of as a psychedelic — a drug that produces hallucinations or an apparent expansion of consciousness.
This is terrible. Usually my orders are delivered the next day, but I am in JHB.Don't buy anything from Dr. Green fingers, After a few weeks I'm still waiting for my order. I've been waiting for 3 weeks now to get my money back.
Yes very bad. If their service is like this I'm glad I haven't received it. That might have been a bad trip. This is terrible. Usually my orders are delivered the next day, but I am in JHB.
I know a few people who have had similar experiences. Although I have never, and I find it hard to imagine weed having those effects (I smoke every day). I usually just assume it's because the person is just not familiar with the effects of weed, and thus just interprets it as hallucinations. Weed doesn't produce hallucinations, rater it intensifies things we are experiencing such as sound and sight, coupled with the anxiety and very deep thoughts, to the point where some would call it a hallucination. In dispute. I guess it depends on the person.
Come to think of it, edibles can be pretty dam intense, maybe even to the point of hallucinations if you have enough. I've never vaped weed though so I can't talk on that. You mention smoking weed daily. Have you vaped weed or eaten edibles? How it's consumed could make a difference. To me sound isn't only intensified. I've heard voices coming from the TV sounding like chipmunks and a few times a tone that is the devil's voice heard in horror movies. Visually there's been a honeycomb pattern and a superimposition of what looks like a motherboard.
Although I can tell you that when the trip is over it doesn't seem real whereas with shrooms it a person wondering. And while I haven't had a bad trip on weed yet, my recent shroom trip wasn't good. It feels like some of my vitality was taken away, leaving me feeling older.

I think that "older" feeling you have from the shrooms is all the universal knowledge you've gained Shrooms does have a way of making me feel weird for a few days after, but not in a bad way. I actually enjoy it. Like a sort of afterglow. Just me though
Yes, for sure. It probably looks like you're "zoned out" during these gaps in conscious awareness I'm sure this is because of the fact that we are in a state of "higher consciousness". Some people can reach this state without psychedelics, and I feel that this should be everyone's goal when using these substances.First trip had that feeling of heightened awareness with an awesome afterglow but not this latest one. There are actually gaps in conscious awareness during the experience. Have you ever had that happen to you?

I usually don't remember parts of my 5 gram shroom trips... but the benefits last for months in my case (after I have finished putting myself back together LOL)
