I used this USB camera adapter method to transfer an mkv file to my iPad 4, but now I cannot delete that file off the device. I copied the file into the "/var/mobile/Media" folder.
Some info about the file in question (which may or may not be of relevance): if I check File Attributes in iFile, it has "_unknown" ownership for "Owner" and "Group". The Access Permissions are User RWE, Group RWE, World RWE.
I have tried deleting the file using iFile and the Terminal app on the iPad, as well as iFunBox, iExplorer and ftp using WinSCP on the PC, but I get "Permission Denied" or something to that effect in each case. I even tried restoring to factory settings with iLEX RAT, but this file still remains behind.
This is my first iDevice, and even though I've used Android for a while, I don't understand unix based OSs very well at all, so I really don't know if there is some simple way of resolving my issue. I'd really appreciate any help with this issue.
