Cannot See 2nd PC on Network

I have 2pc's (wired) to my Netgear DG834 modem. Both can access the internet and shared folders fine but they do not show up under the network tab. How do I resolve this?

Windows 10?

Enable Network Discovery on both. Check that both have their Network Profile set to Private as well.

Windows 7. Network Discovery is on. Both on same workgroup.

In Win10 you have to enable IPv6. It is possible that Win7 received updates forcing the same...

Make sure both are in same workgroup

Note homegroup/workgroup is removed from Windows v1803 (April update) onwards.

Put them on the same desk, then you will see them both.
