Canon 1DX focus system manual

I don't know many people here that might buy a 1DX (except bwana and edduck maybe) but this was interesting reading nevertheless. While it's specific to the 1DX, a lot of the concepts are universal to how Canon does AF, and worth a read if you find your Canon body doing something other than what you expect every once in a while:

Thank you for the vote of confidence hehe! I think I might have to aim a bit lower for the 5D3 before I climb everest to find the mythical 1DX.... I have to admit though that I have already read through the 1DX manual and flipping through the AF guide just gives me even worse camera lust!

Ha ha, I hear you. The 1DX is everything I want, but there's no way I can justify spending that much money on a tool that I'm not using to generate income. Even the 5D3's price is too much for me right now...
