Can't remove bathroom basin!

 ahhh fml I'm just here for the comments!

ok so here it is, as you can see I've tried as much as possible to remove the silicone. It's a wooden counter top (don't ask) nothing underneath holding it down like bolts. I've pulled up so hard on this thing that I thought I popped a nut. I've tried fishing wire to slide through, alas I can't even pull it around as the wire is actually grinding on the basin ceramic (like you can feel that and not silicone)

Now take a picture from underneath...there's something else going on here. That basin is sunk INTO that countertop...it is not just sitting on top.

If it is wooden countertop, it is easily replaced, I re-recommned @Ragnarök suggestion:

Does the basin go in through the base of the wood or is it flat on the surface of the wood? If it’s flat and doesn’t go through the wood, it explains the amount of glue and maybe cement used.
Have to cut it out

100% you have missed something, have you disconnected all plumbing as well? waste and tap, imo take the tap out completely.

Silicon doesn’t generally do a very good job of holding things together so it’s unlikely to be that.

Maybe used No More Nails.

But as was said before, has all the plumbing been removed?

I think they used a very strong adhesive that soaked into the wood. They're now married together forever.

Unscrew the counter top from rest of cupboard and replace.
It's probably just melamine anyway.

Otherwise just redo everything.

100% underneath there is no bolts, it's a wide open area for me to look at.
Plumbing doesn't hold anything down, just rubber pipe and flexy water connection, not doing anything.

I took a basin off another bathroom vanity a few months back and it was also stuck down like this, but it was silicone onto granite, who does that? What matter of moronic twat silicones UNDERNEATH! I struggled and struggled, even tried heating a hacksaw blade up with a blow torch and then trying to slide it around! But I can't do that with this one as its wood.. not that the heating made any difference. I can't slide piano wire around because the underneath of the basin isn't or wasn't made smooth, so it catches on little indentations.

I'm scared to wedge anything in the basin as it might crack

Oh and its a double vanity, the top is like 2m long so I still have another one to do :crying:

Who ever did it, please get their number. They obviously did a good job.
