Its totally legal and theres alot of support growing for this down here bru.

Capeparty1, im glad your here to help answer some peoples questions on the official stance of the Cape party.

CapeParty1, since you're the "official" rep for the party, do you mind clearing up a few things that your fanatics have been unable to answer up until this point.

1) What specific area are you looking to claim independence for
2) What concrete plans do you have to manage the area SHOULD you gain independence

Those 2 questions should provide a decent building block for discussion going forward.

Welcome. Heads up: you're starting on the back foot considering you've so far been represented by a forumite known as Cape Independence. He hasn't been altogether successful from a PR perspective for you lot.

I think your ambitions probably stem from perfectly decent motives, but will be fruitless at the end of the day...

So far you seem to be supported by 12 year olds. On this forum at least...
 
One thing that can maybe be explained to me, is that national tax has paid for Cape Town infrastructure - not only provincial tax, which pays predominantly for maintenance afaik. How would you plan to reimburse/purchase this infrastructure from us, the national tax payers?
 
That is a good question DJ...

I think we will need to know which land area the Cape Party will be pushing to get independence for so that we can determine what national assets will need to be "purchased" from the South African government.

DJ, there is one person dragging the whole debate down and your comment, welcome though it is, doesn't mention it. Don't let your point of view regarding this matter override your ability to make fair comment.
