Cape Town man's beating captured on CCTV

CT road rage attackers arrested

Three men have been arrested and are due to appear in court on Monday for assaulting a man during an apparent road rage incident six months ago.

The road rage incident, which was captured by CCTV cameras, shows Sonwabile Jakuja being pulled out of his vehicle and assaulted by the three suspects in the Table View area.

The assault left Jakuja in ICU for a week.

Ok, as you are seeing the lights there, the furthest one left is for cars going straight. The second one is for MyCiti Buses [not running at that time, but lights still working]. The third one is for people coming south of the picture to turn to the right.

It works like this:

If going from South to North, cars and buses can go straight, all cars that want to turn [both sides of the road] have to wait until north/south is red, bus lane is red, and then flickering for turning starts.

Here you can see the turning lights start to flicker. So yes, Polo did jump the red light as well, almost drove in front of the golf, and then flashed them as well.

Both were wrong here.

No this is SA, does not work like that.

No, thats not what it shows:)

We had a road rage incident here as well Why was that not in the news? There were gunshots and the whole kaboodle.

Odd though aint it, 6 months with the cops, nothing happens, a few weeks on social media and they are found all of a sudden.

That kinda answers itself? More awareness and the public can identify the perpetrators and tip the police off.
