Not at all - totally different mindset.
The people in orania are focused on community living and upliftment.
Libertarians - well, it's all about self.
Not really man. This specific kind of community though for sure, but in large part they weren't so much Liberts. as hippy types using the Libert. label.
It's why I made the points earlier about the need for more development of the individual before such a self-responsible community can begin to work. Most serious Libert. group efforts are organised and at least want the individuals to be like-minded, not all just doing what they want.
As for the video - Simon Whistler it seems has an inflated ego and bias against, certainly a bore to sit through for half an hour with stretched thin arguments and tempered venom.
Gun ownership and cannabis growing are hardly points to bring up, all this was about is a lack of discipline - too many causing the bears to be encouraged due to lack of community structure and too few interested in developing their own creative earning potential.
I'm not a Libert., especially when it comes to concepts of doing away with community structure and therefore a needed tax basis. But it has some good potential in the right climate, for those looking for that direction.
I'm sure many will disagree with the concept. It's certainly for the more adventurous type, and on the negative side (like with anything) also anyone who has a strong dislike for authority...
I won't debate it much, not looking to defend it and each to their own IMO.
