Car Audio recommendations

Just tell the oke at Autostyle you want a 16 speaker surround sound Maridian system with at least 2 subs ... in the mini ... he is either going to feint or start seeing dollar signs ... :p

what about limpids at the back and split at the front, as opposed to a sub... just a question... i have no idea how well, or not well limpids actually work

Limpids are excelent mid to low speaker. With them in the back you'll only need a 5.5" splits in the front to balance the sound a bit.
The limpids are so good, that if you decide to add a extra sub later, you'll have to look at a 12" high Watt sub just to be able to hear a difference.

hmmm.... maybe that's a good option then...

splits in the front is a bit worrying though

I think those 8" limpids will be too big for the backboard :(
can only fit 1 in there

What are you looking for?
If you want doof doof then you need a sub if you just want great sound splits and limpeds are perfect.
You will lose some low frequency but for rock and and Taylor swift you will be fine.

Go chat to hygrade from what I've seen they do good work at good prices. They can make it look good.

Ive done a few fibreglass fittings its not that hard if you want to diy some nice pods like spiderz has shown. Basicly you make a wood mdf fitting and then stretch some tshirt material over it that you cover in epoxy then once thats hard you add a layer or two of fibreglass use body filler on that to make it smooth then sand and cover with vinal.

So went to see a place on the weekend.

With the limit space, this is the setup the guy recommended. He says the Rockford 6x9s will give off enough base in such a small enclosure.

Power 6/9’s t1692 @ 2850 http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/t1692
Punch 2 channel amp p300x2 @ 4850 http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p300x2
Alpine cde 173 bt radio @ 2650
Wiring @ 1500
Sound deadening @800
Radio bracket @350
Labour @ 1300

Total at 14300

Hy is seker mal as hy dink ek gaan so baie spandeer...

6x9 is crap. Avoid this idiot!
even if it is over prices rockford stuff ...

you have about 20cm space in the back board, so 8" limpid should fit.
