Car under R50K

Also avoid Millstock in Obs. They will sell you a rebuilt POS while telling you it's in perfect condition and never been in an accident.

Thanks for the tips. Appreciate it.

Got gatvol of the BS and bought new this time. Peace of mind is well worth it. Actually works out the same as 2nd hand as I have no service or repair costs.

If you must I'd recommend buying from the manufacturers dealerships, e.g. get a 2nd hand Getz from Hyundai with some warrantee left.

I'll definitely look into that. Just depends on cost. Thanks :)

What would you consider performance at that price? I'm no expert so I defer to anyone who knows more.

In my view a car can only be considered a performance car if it can do sub 15s over 400m at sea level.

And for 50k you unfortunately won't be able to get a car that can do those times, the cheapest would be the superboss but those are rare cars and not really suitable for the OP.

If economy is what you are after, get a toyota conquest, corrolla or tazz.

Cerebus didnt say it was a performance car. My understanding is, it was just asked if performance was a factor and a car was listed. That doesnt mean he thinks the 200gxi Sabre is a performance car.

Be very careful of Sedgefield Classics - they are running at massive markups, and their prices are way above going rate for those particular cars.

They are currently advertising a Wolseley 6/110 for R 110 000, and the true retail value is R 50 000 for an immaculate one.

They took my brother's Zodiac for 15k and after doing nothing to it, advertised it for R 50 000.

Don't trust them as far as I can spit.
