Carbonite buying advice

I would like to buy an iPhone on Carbonite. I have not bought there before. Is the platform trustworthy and what is the best process to follow when buying there?

Its a trusted platform, but you need to verify that the sellers are trustworthy via their itrader.

Try meet f2f as its your 1st deal

OP there is no better place to buy. Look at the seller and their feedback

Rule nr1. If its too good to be true then don't waste your time.

Its all about reputation. If you dont have good standing then you might also struggle

Carbonite is basically a speed-dating place. You'll meet all kinds of weirdos,and some normal people. Try to use the Itrader reputation system to gauge somewhat how much have people been dealt with. I'm sure there's a sticky guide on Carb too for best-practice

You can click on people’s profiles and then view comments from other people who have bought from them. Don’t buy from someone with no references.
 
Thanks for the advice, it helped me to navigate the site the site better. I clicked on the seller's and he has been active for a long time and has good references.
 
As with any online transaction do your due diligence before doing the deal and ideally face to face, inspect the goods and then hand over the cash. They seem to have had some kind of data breach because every so often some account with lots of positive ratings gets hijacked, I don’t know how that’s possible but it seems to be a thing.
 
Carbs is relatively safe, as others have eluded to, it works on the ratings principle so any seller with less than 95% positive feedback, avoid.

My concern is more with buying an iPhone that is probably a phone acquired on a contract. All sorts of potential pitfalls. The most obvious being if the contracted party defaults on account payments and the phone gets black listed....

Who are you buying the phone from?

I've been buying stuff there for a long time and so far, by checking reputation, iTrader and clicking through on Seller and Buyers other deals, have had nothing but good experiences.

Bought various items including 2 x iPhone 7; 1 x iPhone X; 2 x fully built PC's; routers, switches, Alexa devices, Unifi AP's, etc.

Yep - that's why OP should have no issue asking upfront in the thread whether the phone is 'free and clear'
 
Did all that. He made duplicate acc also bank details were impersonate.
