Carnivore diet

Zach Bitter interesting. I think he perfectly demonstrates the point. His world records were for the 100mile and 12hr on the TRACK. The physiological requirements for this event, never would exceed 60% of VO2 max. Interesting that he has no result in the events that ultra trail runners count. Hardrock, Western States, UTMB. So why would a world record holder never feature in any of these events? Perhaps as soon as he hits a climb, and the intensity increases, he blows up?

But exactly how low carb is Mr Bitter?

I think it’s beneficial to start out strict to those parameters [50g per day] and let your body adapt but then once you get back into the flow of training, I think 100-150 grams per day carb is probably a better starting point”.

So half of this everyday?

Could be fine for someone who is healthy and doesn't already have insulin resistance. Most of us go low-carb because we want to lose weight or fix other health issues, not because we want to be elite athletes.

Is Eating More Red Meat Bad for Your Brain?

“Red meat is high in saturated fat and has been shown in previous studies to increase the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease, which are both linked to reduced brain health,” said study author Dong Wang, MD, ScD, of Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. “Our study found processed red meat may increase the risk of cognitive decline and dementia, but the good news is that it also found that replacing it with healthier alternatives, like nuts, fish and poultry, may reduce a person’s risk.”

"For processed red meat, they divided participants into three groups. The low group ate an average of fewer than 0.10 servings per day; the medium group ate between 0.10 and 0.24 servings per day; and the high group, 0.25 or more servings per day. After adjusting for factors such as age, sex and other risk factors for cognitive decline, researchers found that participants in the high group had a 13% higher risk of developing dementia compared to those in the low group."

"They also found people who ate one or more servings of unprocessed red meat per day had a 16% higher risk of subjective cognitive decline compared to people who ate less than a half serving per day."

The Truth About Saturated Fat, Cholesterol, and Red Meat

Are saturated fat, dietary cholesterol, and red meat really the enemies of your health? In Episode 2 of ReThink Meat, we uncover the truth about their supposed connection to heart disease, diabetes, and cancer—and what the latest science actually says.

This 22-minute episode exposes the shaky origins of the anti-fat narrative, revealing how conflicts of interest, hidden research, and oversimplified science created one of the biggest misconceptions in dietary history. From the American Heart Association's support of seed oils to the controversial WHO classification of meat as a carcinogen, we separate fact from fiction and reveal the true dietary culprits.

Seems pretty ridiculous. Six to nine pounds of cheese alone would be insanely difficult to consume daily, never mind the butter and extra fat. Even if someone somehow managed to eat that much, their body would likely reject it, either through digestive distress or sheer loss of appetite.

Today marks 1 month on Carnivore and I am 2.8kg down. Yet to find the energy boost but I will be patient.

3kg of cheese per day!!??

The media has gone bananas over this Florida man on a carnivore diet who was eating 6 – 9 pounds of beef, butter and cheese daily and started “oozing” cholesterol from his skin. Is this this real report? Or is it problematic propaganda. In six minutes, I’ll reveal to you the real problem that this report brings to light. And, spoiler alert, the problem isn’t the meat.

Yip, I called BS as soon as I read the daily quantity of food. Nobody would eat like that. May as well call it force feeding like ducks destined for foie gras..

Why do people worry when they see a plate full of meat with no vegetables but think it’s perfectly healthy when it’s a plate full of vegetables with no meat?

The answer lies in decades of nutrition dogma that has demonized meat while glorifying vegetables. People have been conditioned to believe that meat—especially red meat—is unhealthy, linked to heart disease, cancer, and other chronic conditions, despite weak or misleading evidence. At the same time, vegetables have been elevated as the ultimate health food, regardless of their actual nutrient bioavailability or individual tolerance.

In reality, meat is one of the most nutrient-dense foods available, packed with highly bioavailable protein, essential vitamins (B12, iron, zinc, etc.), and healthy fats. Meanwhile, a plate full of vegetables may be lacking in complete proteins, critical micronutrients, and can even contain antinutrients that impair nutrient absorption.

The double standard comes from faulty science, industry influence, and government guidelines that have prioritized ideology over human physiology. But the truth is, a well-balanced diet isn’t about what looks “correct” to the average person—it’s about what truly nourishes the body.

Especially for @BBSA ... ;)

RFK Jr. Sworn In On Raw 32-Ounce Ribeye - The Babylon Bee

In a powerful statement, RFK Jr was sworn in as the next Secretary of Health and Human Services Thursday on a raw 32-ounce ribeye.

Sources say that instead of the traditional Bible, the new HHS Secretary used an organic, grass-fed, grass-finished ribeye, left totally uncooked so as to preserve the nutritional value.

"I need the American people to know how serious I am about health," Kennedy said prior to the solemn ceremony. "Most Bibles these days have fake leather covers that contain preservatives and dyes that could absorb into my skin and give me cancer. There's nothing safer and more healthy than a raw piece of delicious beef."

Historians say this is the first time a government official has been sworn in on a piece of meat since William Howard Taft swore his oath on a porterhouse steak slathered in gravy in 1909.

"It's time to make America healthy again, and it starts now," an emotional Kennedy said as his wife looked on in admiration.

"He always does this," said actress and fellow meat enthusiast Cheryl Hines. "He proposed with a prime rib."

Trump was reportedly impressed by Kennedy's resolve, but noted with disappointment that the steak was not well done with a side of ketchup.

Did you read the article and come to the conclusion that they did two different exercise regimens?
I stopped reading the article when twin 1 exercised this way and twin 2 exercised that way. Don't get me wrong, I was very interested in the comparison but then they went and introduced variables.
