A man who raped and robbed a woman who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant was jailed for 30 years by the Pietermaritzburg High Court yesterday.

Njabulo Ndlovu, 23, got no mercy from Acting Judge Khosi Hadebe, after his lawyer had hoped the severe biting he took from the police dog which pinned him down during his arrest, and his age, would be taken into account.

Ndlovu was bitten so badly when he was arrested that his scrotum was mauled and he had to urinate through a catheter.

I say admit that dog as an honorary member of the bench. The dog obviously knows what sort of justice befits rapists!

Multiple life sentences are common for serial rapists.

The problem isn't the law itself... It's the state's enforcement mechanisms. Police, prosecution and correctional services = fail. The law itself is fine, though. Good luck getting the guy into court against a competant prosecutor with solid evidence gathered properly, though.

LOL this guy certainly aint going to rape anybody in prison :D

Watch the ANC say the dog has committed an offense and has to be put down for humanitarian reasons. Those idiots are more of a problem then a solution to crime.

What kind of medals can a dog be eligible for? Because this dog should get one.
