Mine too, but I'd then need to activate that every night before going to bed - since I don't want emails every time my dog is in the yard or something.
You can set activate times on mine so it only works at night

My installer is advising I go with HIK or Dahua (more on the latter) IP system. I asked for 16ch (starting with 8 cams).
i currently have an 8ch analogue system and theres always something here or the other causing interference. I’ll keep this system though, and just do maintenance every now and then.
Is there any other brand or specific system you guys would recommend? no budget, so go wild if you need to.
thanks
I still prefer a PC based NVR. No silly limitations and cameras, the software is constantly updated/can be replaced, externally integrations are possible. My installer is advising I go with HIK or Dahua (more on the latter) IP system. I asked for 16ch (starting with 8 cams).

You could always run a hybrid system ,My installer is advising I go with HIK or Dahua (more on the latter) IP system. I asked for 16ch (starting with 8 cams).

They sent my friends stuff via courier.
a dummy on this subject, so please elaborate a little.I still prefer a PC based NVR. No silly limitations and cameras, the software is constantly updated/can be replaced, externally integrations are possible.
A hardware DVR/NVR whatever you want to call it just feels like a smart TV with a dated interface, and there is nothing you can do to update it even though the screen/speakers work perfectly well.
Well for me on the software side I currently use NX Witness and the recording server lives as a VM on my NAS. Cameras are just cheap POE Reolinks.a dummy on this subject, so please elaborate a little.
how would you build your system (give me a breakdown on your components if you don’t mind).
@CamiKaze - I think there is very limited functionality, as with the Ezviz range. About all you can do is toggle/automate motion alerts via Google Home.Anyone know of a way to integrate your Hikvision cameras with Google Home?
Generally people try to block out trees as wind in the trees will trigger motion.Hello Hello!
I recently bought a EZViz C3W Husky. So Far Im really happy with it, but the motion detection is kinda driving me nuts.
is there a better way to set this thing up through another application or something? Ive seen some pretty kickass software running the cams on PCs and that can be set to only record if it detects a Face!
Its triggering the motion on just about anything all the time. Ive set the sensitivity down to 1 Now and the trigger area only to a a few single blocks here and there.
But with Using less Trigger block and a lower sensitivity area im not too sure if its will work or not. Its stil very new as ive only been experimenting since yesterday.
My Camera died... Disconnected 3 times yesterday and then just dead. Cant reset or anything...Hello Hello!

Been looking to get some CCTV given the times and all of that fun stuff.
Was recommended to go with:
Just to start, then get another 2 when I can and slowly upgrade to 8 cameras.
I was also tempted to go the IP Camera -> PoE Switch -> Raspberry pi 4 with MotionEye software, but that full custom route sounds like a pain to setup at a similar cost.
Hey man - did a CCTV installation that used HD over analogue, was cheaper and the quality is brilliant.
What would you guys consider to be the best DIY wireless easy to set up camera system to be? I'm looking for 4 cams, 2 outside, 2 inside. hopefully that can upload/livestream etc
Fully wireless cameras ie battery powered and wi-fi or just wi-fi?What would you guys consider to be the best DIY wireless easy to set up camera system to be? I'm looking for 4 cams, 2 outside, 2 inside. hopefully that can upload/livestream etc
I think mains powered but wifi would work out for my needs.Fully wireless cameras ie battery powered and wi-fi or just wi-fi?
I have the Ezviz Husky for outdoor, you could use the C6N for indoor and then just use their onboard SD storage or an 8 channel IVR. I've been using the Husky for a while now, very satisfied with it and the moblie app.I think mains powered but wifi would work out for my needs.
Hi guys, I am looking for system for a farm, I don't have power plugs all over the place for the cameras so I would need to run POE system? 8 to 4 camera should be fine its for indoor and out door any suggestions?
