Cell C 3g down in Midrand?

Anyone else having problems with Cell C 3G stick in Midrand?
Tried calling their call centre, hit a brick wall as usual, after speaking to so called "technical" the answer they gave in that they are experiencing challenges in the area.

Erm, no, its not a challenge, its just not working.

Cell C rep what say you, why is 3G not working Midrand area?
 
Still no joy, looks like I have to return the Cell C 100gb I purchased today and try Telkom mobile.

Yeh its down again.
Driving me insane.
It either connects but then doesn't transmit data, or it just won't connect at all.

Still not working, Cell C rep can you please clarify:

1. call 1 to technical - 3g is experiencing challenges in gauteng, please wait
2. Call 2 to technical - line needs to be reset, please wait and try again
3. call 3 to technical - takes 24 hours before sim card is activated, wait until tomorrow


edit: worked for around 10 minutes this morning at 6:50am and then decided it had enough

Cell C tech support is useless.

Maybe I should also move to 8ta, this constant down time and no support is just pathetic.

Technical ae so clueless it is not even funny any more.:(
 
And after working sort of this morning, down since about 12 again.
Customer services and technical completely clueless as to why and what to do.
Surprisingly wasn't told today they having challenges, just that they will escalate the matter, so I'm guessing nothing.
Looks like sim going to get returned Monday.
Vodacom connects like a charm every-time, oh well..probably will be better to pay a little more but at least to get a working product.
 
Update in case Cell C rep decides to have a look into issues:
Worked most of yesterday, except for a hiccup between around 12 - 3pm, so morning and late afternoon ok, working this morning, will advise later, for some reason has just died lately from around 12pm.

Go to the shop and get your SpeedStick changed. I was given a Nokia SpeedStick which would overheat and stop working and the head office branch changed it to a Huawei E1820 21.6Mbps problem solved.

I have that one and two other model speedsticks, it is not that unfortunately, it is a problem with Cell C.

Service back on 12:50 down again at 1:10

edit:// Highly unproductive Cell C day, internet eventually back on tonight and still no sign from Cell c rep

Yeh, but it came back on around 5pm, maybe they were experiencing "challenges" again :whistle:

Can you please log an urgent whatever for the area. Been down like a yoyo since yesterday and still going on this morning. Either no signal or full signal and no data or then just works for a while and stops, highly painful.
 
Still battling with the Cell C 3g in the area.

Don't think they have enough adjectives to describe the incompetence of your call center, it is beyond ridiculous.
From saying the sim is deactivated, to it being fine, to take it back to the shop, to explain where midrand is, to tell them what a router is, to tell it doesnt matter the make of the laptop or how many damn times you have rebooted.

There is a problem with your signal again in the area, somehow managed to pull teeth and got this reference number 1309100000095893, who knows what they going to do now or anything
