Cell C 3g down in Midrand?

started working yesterday and surprise still working today......................so far
 
DM, It has been now 6 weeks or so since your techie was here and still nada, nothing, as bad or worse signal than before, what is happening with the so called upgrade in the area?

According to the last service call logged for you, the nearest site (CI 1611) was upgraded to u2100. I have logged another service call ref# SD206928, for a technician to revisit your location and attempt to resolve the issue. Thanks for your patience. *DM*

Thanks, surprising then that it is still quite bad.
 
In Sandton and connection is absolutely pathetic :mad:

Has been spiking like mad since maybe Wednesday. I think this is bigger than some technician doing a house call...

Might actually look into Telkom Mobile thanks to this CellC issue! Been hearing good things about Telkom Mobile...

Ok, well nothing has happened no contact and its become completely unworkable, really bad. From no connection, to slow connection, to erratic restart, on, off, on off.

Not sure how Cell C managed to break something was working.

Anyhow moved over permanently to to Afrihost and MTN what a pleasure, always on.

Can I get a refund for my last 100gb?? It shows as 17gb left but at least half used was just wasted on trying to connect.
 
Cell C has just become pathetic.... offer good value for money but don't have the services and structure to provide for everybody.

I am also based in Midrand(live and work) and the connection is horrible. Considering to port back to vodacom, id rather pay more for a reliable service.

Cell C stop trying to get the monopoly before improving service delivery and standards. even calling the call center is another horrific story!

The quality has really gone downhill - this was my third 100gb package and was bad from day 1.

I should have returned it in August when I purchased it, but thought it would actually get sorted out, how naive huh :o

Anyhow just moved to Afrihost 14gb monthly, as I have been using them and each month just upped the package as never have a connection problem.

Same boat, but i still have a year left on this contract, i was thinking of moving over to Telkom Mobile but do not know if i should take the chance with another "small player with a big bark". Just really frustrating, R500pm on this useless CellC contract, and then i probably have to pay another R500 if i go over to another contract.This will then be my 3rd number change in the last year, not cool at all.

Dont change number, wait it out then change over to prepaid and then do a port to TM then get a contract with them using your number
 
Well out of the blue Cell C phoned a couple of days ago to say they well once again send a techie and indeed he just came and confirmed that the Cell C signal here is rubbish. Not sure if and how it can be fixed as the last report was all towers in the area were upgraded or whatnot.

So anyhow tried my Cell C for a while and went back to MTN - Cell C 3g here is just terrible, the fluctuations in signal makes you go insane.
