I hope Telkom Mobile gives all the other operators a serious run for their money and drop their data bundles significantly for most people to switch over to them.

Here's to hoping...

The 3G network is far Superior than both the Jokers Networks.

But More reductions are already in the Pipeline..................Guranteed.

What has Telkom Mobile got to do with Cell C??

We have another Cell C contract up for an upgrade. They have sent us 3 SMS's stating that we should visit our nearest Cell C store.
Guess what. I have no inclination to upgrade on a network that does not keep its promises. A network that does not know what it is doing. A network that can't keep to a deadline.
Now we have to decide whether to go with Vodacom or MTN.
Cell C sucks.

Members have been speculating for some time now as to the launch date of 3G.
CellC is abslutely silent on a launch date.

Various CellC outlets give differing dates as to when the launch can be expected.
When we approached CellC to upgrade our 3 contracts in January of this year, the shop informed us it would be at the end of March.
Come March they told us April. April then become end May.
We have been putting off the contract upgrade until we know what is happening.

I would like an answer from the CellC representative. Alternatively CellC can kiss 3 contracts goobye.

It certainly does seem strange that the Cell C representative has not bothered to answer in quite some time.
Is there one on the forums?
If so, he can send me a PM, or I will be porting to one of the other networks that actually live up to their promises on Thursday 01/07/2010.
 
CELL C 3G will be launched on 15 August in Cape town, Durban and Bloemfontein area. Wait and have fun!!! The 3G will be 900MHz only

true, I dont think it will be next year, they have to launch before telkom mobile, even if they not fully ready

Why not Joburg on the launch list? And I am with Moggles....pricing is what I am very curious about. As you all know Vodacom is currently cheaper than Cell C. We give 600meg and CellC give 500meg for the same price???? We have 3G and Cell C dont...does not make sense to me. Seeing that Cell C behind on the speed and techno side of things, I would have thought they would at least try and come in cheaper to get more market...but nope...they came in at the same pricing. ?

not sure if JHB ready yet, nokia siemens got that contract, pricing I hope they get really aggressive. Neotel launching prepaid at 20c a mb. Wonder what cell c and Telkom Mobile go for

Impossible for CellC to be taken seriously if they don't have a roaming agreement...

And if they want to launch before Telkom, they will have to come in with a massive price shock. As it is Telkom Mobile (or Do3G) is cheaper than Vodacom and MTN for data...

You cannot compare Neotel with the Mobile operators...
