Cell C 3G

e272
3G (UMTS/HSDPA) frequency supported 2100 MHz
EDGE frequency supported 900, 1800 and 1900MHz
GPRS frequency supported 900, 1800 and 1900MHz
GSM frequency supported 900, 1800 and 1900MHz
From that link the only frequency supported for 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) is 2100
Like I said in the other post my e272 does not pick up the cellc 3g signal I had to use another modem that does support 900MHz to pick it up.

Good news for captownians. The cell c 3g service is going to be launched this week for them.
I got a call again from cell c now. They asked me about the area i am staying.
Joburg is last one to get the service. Somewhare in october but they dont have specific date as yet.

I doubt it. They have been saying that for months... Something will come between again

WTF????????

Cellc updated the site with their new data deal in the deals section.

R1499 for the 2gig per month package and R2999 for the 5gig deal

It is a shame it is not the same as the earlier leaked pamphlet that was posted on here. I would have bought two of them at that price. I am still going to buy the 5 gig package.

Link? I cant seem to find it on the Cell C site...

From R1999 to R2999 is a big let down. If this turns out to be true...

It is a bit of a let down but I am not going to complain about it I spend more than R9000 a year on 4.6gig a month with vodacom this is going to save me R6000+ a year

I am going to wait for Cell C to launch their offering in Joburg before I even consider paying the cash upfront :) also have a Cell C dongle, so I am sure once they do launch, I will be able to browse their website quicker :)

R50 aint a lot per gig.... Considering you also getting hardware
