Saw this ad today in the newspaper.



Guess if you buy it in Gauteng it will only work on the slower speeds until they have switched on the 4Gs network in about two weeks.

Update: Okay, Okay, I see it is only available in Durban and Cape Town for now. Wonder why they are running it in our newspapers then?

They probably aren't running it in Gauteng newspapers. That would give the wrong impression, and cause a huge fall-out with consumers...

The network already works in Joburg, and has for a while.

I was shown/told it mostly connects at EDGE but I believe the 3.75G network launch for JHB/PTA is not that far off anymore.

I believe that black modem is the HSPA+ 21Mbps USB Modem (Huawei E1820)
