Cell C changes data billing increment

Ouch, 120 times a day :mad:. Yip now I agree, that is hectic and a lot of money to lose.
R2 OOB is just insane in this day and age.
 
I mentioned this a few times.

It's an industry standard, not necessarily an SA standard. Cell C just seems to be the first to implement it here. With the price of data it's not really such a big deal. The problem is that it happens to coincide with the increase in OOB on some packages and Cell C clearly didn't think how that is going to affect a small spectrum of users.

Really though if we put it in perspective the other networks are screwing people way more with data charges. The main issue seems to be that people were caught by surprise and we have these incorrect perceptions of when a minimum charge applies. Most of these people didn't even know about minimum charges though some have had them in double figures on MTN and Vodacom.

So interesting information I stumbled apon, but take it as hearsay with nothing to back it up.

Bumped into the current CEO of Cell C in queue the other day, scared to death. Apparently after bringing him on board to sort out finances, he discovered a HELL of a lot of internal theft and has received death threats since. He isn't even pitching up to work anymore, sleeping in different hotels every night and on a flight to the USA asap.

Looks like an awful lot of the trouble at big C is some serious internal corruption, which is a shame because I still respect them as a company far more than I ever will MTN or Vodacom.
