Cell-C Free calls useless

yes that is true thats why thy having this free call thing ,last atempt to atract subscribers and show of the data to the investors"look ma so many ppl"

ok say i wanna use the freecall thingy but i am in voda.
I buy a cell c starter pack then what.mmmmmmm

Get CellC Starter Pack. Get R5 airtime. Load the airtime before the end of Friday. Your first 120minutes of calls to cellc numbers on the Very next Saturday and Sunday will be free. So you will need to recharge a minimum of R5 in the week, to get 120 minutes that weekend. Enjoy!

I don't care, i can make free calls and that's all that matters. Here is a company offering free call and peple are complaining. What do people really want!

I'm complaining because I can't call friends on Cell C from my Vodacom phone now over weekends. Just get continual network busy etc. errors because they're locked into contracts on some useless network that can't get anything right it seems.

I'm a Cell C & Virgin subscriber an get through to my "Cell C" friends everytime all the time. Maybe the problem lies with Voda. Personaly i don't think a voda subscriber has a right to complain here. If u were a Cell C subscriber, i think your opinions would carry heavier weight.

Well I tried from a Telkom phone and a Cell C phone and had the same problem, so do my opinions carry more weight if I also used a Cell C sim card?

Did you just mention Hellkom!, lol.

I feel you my brother, however, you need to understand that Cell C's action will ultimately benefit the man in the street. We need such competition in this industry. Yes there may be some gliches there and there but let's focus on the bigger picture.

Cell C needed to take drastic measures, the big dogs' (voda and MTN) bullying was getting too much.

It worked for my wife this weekend.

I let mother-in-law know about this CellC thingy, and she managed to obtain a CellC starter pack, and loaded R5's worth of airtime on it.

My wife (also on CellC) phoned her, and the two chatted for an hour or so :D

Glad I'm not on Vodacom anymore... their idea of free minutes is not my idea of free minutes either...

AFAIK it only works for CellC to CellC.

It is a great deal. I am phoning people that I would never have phoned with my limited free minutes. Talked a lot of nonsense this weekend :-)

I need it for ADSL, what can I say.

Its definitely a good deal, no denying that, I just think if I was a Cell C subscriber I wouldn't be too impressed about the network being overloaded even for the calls I'm prepared to pay for. Hopefully it'll trigger some action by the other networks though.

You know what pushed me over the edge?

Having a shedload of free minutes (vodacom) but unable to use any of these continuously... Also seeing these free minutes accumulate as the months go by, but you can't do anything with it.:mad:

So I tole my wife that Vodac can go [censored] and went over to CellC. Her vodacom contract ends in 12 months' time, not long to go... *sigh* In the end we'll go with CellC just because we want to make a statement.

So glad for the CellC freecall promotion. Kudos for CellC for doing something worthwhile without plundering their customers' pockets! :D:D

What a weekend, the Free calls continued. The majority is happy, who care about the manority (i'm afraid but there's no democracy on this one). lol

I don't like it, i love it. ;) I'll make use of this while it lasts, and the two words i like the most are: "internet" and "free". :)
