Cell-C / IS "fixed" LTE

If you phone Mweb support about LTE-A, there is a permanent automated message telling you that "Cell C LTE users may experience slow speeds, no or intermittent internet connections etc... IS and Cell C are working together to resolve this".
I have had all of the above for 2 weeks now.
If you look on the Cell-C coverage map, LTE, LTE-A and FIXED-LTE are shown separately.

I contacted Mweb support and asked them who is provisioning the data for the Cell C deal.

The guy was not sure, put me on hold to enquire about it, then let me know that Cell C is provisioning the data.
Thus, Mweb is just reselling Cell C data as well as using the Cell C towers.
How do Internet Solutions fit into this explanation?

I agree fully with Tim and Samuel.

Bottom line is that if they have to wait for a 50 million bucks building to be built with a MEGA SERVER or something similar, they should say so and not continue to lie in their advertising and then strictly speaking 'steal' from those who they conned!

Once the prescribed ICASA waiting period expires, it will give great satisfaction to fill in the forms for Icasa and Advertising Auth., pop the stuff in the cupboard and wait. It is not like we only have Telkom around here anymore.

Over 2 days and no new posts here. How's the speeds everyone?
My download speed seems stable at around 10-15mbps except between 6pm-8pm where it's down to 5 mbps

My speeds are similar to what you are getting. Have not done a test between 6 & 8pm. No buffering when streaming and web pages are loading like it should without refreshing. So I am happy. Hope it stays like this.

Mine also appears to be okay 90% of the time.. Had a hickup yesterday, but other than that, I have working internet again, which is great :D

You could probably graph the state of their network based on the rate of posts to this thread

Connection has been good this weekend. Finally!
Their data accounting system seems to be broken at the moment - easily used over a gig yesterday and it's still only showing 200MB - not that I'm complaining about it

mines been functioning well for a while, can play csgo, stream movies, gonna count that as a win, axxess helpdesk was a joke, thank you everyone here for the company while my net was gone :) hope its a while, but will check here if mine has hiccups

My routing is still messed up, I get much better pings to JHB than to DBN servers (I'm in Durban).
Tried numerous times using all the servers in DBN to their counterpart servers in JHB.

So it looks like all my traffic is routed straight to the JHB exchange before deciding on the best route to my destination.
Not really a train-smash, just find it weird

Mmm interesting, I'm also getting slightly worse pings to Durban servers than to Joburg

that is because cellc only offers break-out in johannesburg and nowhere else in the country for this solution ie instead of breaking out in durban or cape town, you travel all the way up to johannesburg...

out of interest, which dbn based servers are you trying to reach?

That would explain it, thanks.

Tried Telkom (SAIX), MWEB Connect, Cool Ideas, MTN and Vodacom Business.

Interestingly, the only one that has better pings to DBN than to JHB is Cell C.

Is it worth getting CellC fixed LTE?

It seems to be working now, but when I signed up I got about 30mb download, at the moment I get about 10. If you want to give it a go, get the sim only deal. Test it out and if it does not work for you cancel it. Telkom LTE is more expensive but it seems like its way more stable.

Hello anyone know what SMTP settings to use on the ignite or Axxess Products?

Thanks
