Cell-C / IS "fixed" LTE

I get LTE on my Z3 (it's nearly 4 years old).

The B618 Axxess supplies is the 22d, I believe that one doesn't work on Telkom, correct? Does the B315?
Both work on Telkom just reduced speeds as it would run on 1800mhz band with Telkom which is not as fast as 2300mhz band. Only Telkom sells b618 model that works on 2300mhz band.
 
So what is the difference between Cell C LTE/LTE-A vs Cell C fixed LTE?

I'm near some of the pink but the green is even further away.

Ah ok that's great. So I can use Telkom then. What kind of speed are we talking of?
 
So it's still unclear to me if I can use the fixed vs mobile network? See pic above.

Only fixed not mobile, you can't use a prepaid cell c sim to test the network.

So how do I test it?

I think we have a B315 at the office that I can use. But it seems it's the SIM that's the issue not the modem?

The only way you can test it is to order the sim, the cheapest is R219pm for 20GB.
Obviously you can cancel anytime.

But it looks like you are too far away from the green.

It's a double story house though, so higher than usual. I can also add an external antenna.

That's why the Axxess Cell C fixed LTE at R845/month for 200GB is perfect pricing for me.
Have you seen Telkom's uncapped LTE for R899, speed is limited 10Mbps though.
The deal ends midnight.
 
I've got Cell C LTE through Axxess and I got capped around 19:00 this evening, bought some more cap and waited for it to activate. By 20:30 still no internet and I phone their support line, "Sorry sir, I can see you've purchased additional cap, but it hasn't been allocated yet, at the end of the month you just have to wait a bit longer.". Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Is this an issue with IS or does Axxess just have a terrible backend?

As of this post time, the new cap has still not been allocated, honestly a waste of my money considering it all resets in two hours!
 
Got a reply from Axxess as to how I can test it.

Yes You can use your LTE device but in order to do so you must create an APN for the Sim Card, an APN named lte.broadband.is

I assume I need their sim though, doesn't make sense that I can use my mobile sim.
 
So I've had this service for a week now. In the mornings I get around 20meg down but in the evenings it drops to 3meg. Is this normal?
 
That's cell for you on mobile on the 200gb for 1 year it's worse we get 0.3 KBS
