Cell C mobile broadband plans and pricing

and here we go!! i don't really care how crappy it is eventually, it will be worth it and i'm willing to gamble, now where is my nearest outlet?

12 month contract! Nooooooooo!

Was concerned about the R999 and R1999 because I thought that was per month. Been told further down it's per year which is awesome pricing. Data topups are quite pricey though

Just to confirm: We have really gone to great lengths to make sure that the planned Cell C mobile broadband pricing models published are correct. Unless a whole group of people are misinformed – including at least a few Cell C employees as well ;) – consumers can expect these prices from Cell C later this month.

This means that the two products will cost subscribers R42 per GB on the R999 product and R33 per GB on the R1999 product – multiple times cheaper than Vodacom and MTN’s current pricing.

LOL @ "multiple times cheaper"

An entire order of magnitude cheaper.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Lets hope this reflects on the price of individual GBs as well.

I'll take it for R1999 once off.
Now we only have to hope that they dont oversubscribe and leave us with crawling speeds after they take our money.

Dude, what are you complaining about? Given that pricing, It's like you're paying for the hardware and 1~2 months' data, then getting the next 10~11 months' data free. How is this a problem?

Awesome - availability for Virgin subscribers! Awesome. Hope they come to the party.

I see you mention that they revealed their new branding. Am I interpreting that correctly? I noticed you've used a different logo for Cell C in the article photo.

How much are these modems worth? For R1k, you get a modem and 24GB? Sounds too good to be true...

any info regarding out of bundle pricing?
According to one source it will be standard R2/MB - you will have to load airtime after being capped. This is however not cnfirmed and does not form part of the documentation we have...

Looks promising from Cell C.

Definitely taking the right steps to capture some of the broadband market.

If i didnt already have a data contract through my company and adsl at home, i might have given this some serious thought.

Well done Cell C.

Vodacom and MTN, catch a wake up.

If they launch this I see some soiled underwear in the boardrooms of MTN and Voda... and to a lesser extent neofail.
