Just queried. R240/month +ISP? Now witch ISP offers Wimax?
How will this compete with cell the C rumored offer?
 
What an awesome deal! I just bought 300MB of data from Vodacom for R189. That's R630 per GB! :eek:

Come August 20th and I'll become a Cell C broadband customer.
 
If you want to use more than 2GB in a month, how much do you pay per additional GB?

Just over R2000 per GB (R2/MB), pro-rata of course. But it is prepaid. No contract horror stories here. You need to load additional airtime before you can go on at this R2/MB rate.

R 2000/GB?! I thought as much but didn't think it could be true. This deal is suitable for low-bandwidth users, although I don't think downloading my email at 21.6Mbps vs 4Mbps will make much of a difference in my productivity. What do people on these mobile broadband provider accounts usually use it for?

There is no news yet on what additional bundles will cost. In fact none of this is official. I doubt it'll be R2000 a gig, hehe.

I'm looking at that latency. Can anyone confirm that the latency in the article is possible? This is the only thing that would hold me back wrt gaming. 60 odd ms is flipping good!
