Cell C offering iPhone 4S

There is nothing wrong with selling old stock if there are buyers. Only question is: shouldn't the price be much lower for iPhone 4? I would like to how much markup Cell C is making from selling iPhones at that price. Sure, our Rand has weakened but at that price I would rather get the latest phone such as GS3 or wait for the iPhone 5.

They seem to have the Samsung Galaxy S3 with the "build your own contract" deals. This is a better alternative, I think.

Geesshhh this is kinda late to jump onto the iphone bandwagon now aint it ??? Its like bragging about offering an old shape car now with the new model being announced / launched in a month or two... More like a slap in the face for the SA consumer... Want to impress me ? How about ensuring you have stock very early on the new iphone model when it gets launched... Not in true african style 6 - 7 months after the rest of the world.

Hardly. The next iPhone can be presumed to be available around December as with the previous model. Anyone who couldn't wait to get the 4S has had months to get a contract with one from either MTN or Vodacom. This simply adds another option.

Apple controls the release of the iPhone, so if you're not happy that South Africa isn't first in line in the world your complaints are more appropriately directed at them.

Who in there right mind would want an iPhone, iOS is far behind Android and is very limited. Plus iPhone specs are also very far behind rivals like Motorola, Samsung & HTC.... Compare price and specs iPhone does not look appealing.

I have both an Android and iPhone, and my iPhone is MUCH better than the Galaxy.

So many heads, so many opinions. I have an iPhone 4 and a Samsung Galaxy S3. Both phones are great but I will get the iPhone 5. The iOS just works better for me. The S3 is a bit sensitive for my liking. Big question is whether the iPhone 4s will be available at Cell C and whether the new iPhone 5 will be availabe at launch day. I will stick with Vodacom for my iPhone 5 contract. I know they are expensive but they still provide the best network coverage in the country.
