Cell C takes on Telkom with new SmartData Share plans

Is that table correct?

R199 for 10GB? + 10GB Night data? On what is called a 5GB package?

Yeah, they can try again. Telkoms offer is MUCH more attractive and useful.

"Customers who sign up for SmartData Share plans will also receive double the data value for the remainder of their contract."

Fair enough. Good pricing then. I thought the doubled data was the after hours data. 20GB on a 5GB package sounds too good to be true...

Cell C still has a few lessons it wants to learn it seems...

All the deals are available as SIM-only or bundled with a device – at an additional cost.

It will certainly be well worth paying R199 p/m for 5GB of anytime data ( which doubles to 10GB per month) considering you have to Pay R100 p/m for only 2 gigs of data p/m from Axess (Sim only - No contract)

With double data the SmartData Share 20 can be better deal than Telkom assuming phones are WiFi calling capable and there are configurable individual caps for each SIM.

I agree, Telkom offer is more flexible and will be more popular I think.

Bizarre that it has so many anynet WiFi calling minutes, and yet no "normal" minutes. Surely the expensive part for Cell C is in paying the interconnect fees which they'd need to do with anynet calls to other networks?
