Cell C top with migrations

Yes, this is the only way to break the VadaCrap-EmptyN Monopoly, customers need to switch to CellC. This would ensure competitive prices and fair trade and keep the big red Voda-bully in place :D

"marketing as the biggest lesson that can be learnt " - so true, typical corporate bullsh|t - 20 % work and 80 % bull...

I'd like to become one of them too, but I'm stuck in a crappy contract. I need Whooosh!

First be absolutely sure that you have good coverage in your area before moving, no use changing until you are covered.

We don't need more complaints in the Cell C sub forum...:D

I'm sure by the end of the year you should be covered in Lenasia. Still waiting for Germiston/Glenvista/Bassonia etc to be covered by Cell C.

top migration my @ss! they cant even migrate their useless billing system for starters! I am still having debit order issues since January and to date nothing is resolved even though i reconfirmed my credit card details countless times! This is TOP migration for you!

dude....you don’t TRY to get your billing system in order and still have the damn nerve to threaten your customers as if they're at fault for not keeping their bills up to date! ...this MUST work from DAY 1...PERIOD.

"Senior managers earning above R750k per annum cited marketing as the biggest lesson that can be learnt from innovative Telcos"

senior managers are idiots...

billing errors are definitely not isolated to one company only...nor only to the telecoms industry..government-run organizations come to mind... It's very annoying though...

Can't agree more. They only make you a "Senior Manager" when you have outdated skills and can't keep up with the latest tech. :)

Yeah, shows how out of touch they are. SA managers still don't "get it", and this article drives that home. 'Marketing'? Hello, people are switching because Cell C offers better pricing and improved service levels ... not because they saw Trevor Noah and had a Pavlovian response.

I suppose when you earn R750k per year you don't realize how much under pressure households are to trim costs.

Who said you get lies, damn lies and statistics? Who cares?

It is not clear whether the article refers to voice or data or both, but I guess it refers to voice more than data. On the other hand, this forum is (I think) aimed at broadband more than voice.

In relation to the article:
  1. My smallish company forms part of the migration to Cell C. So far it only refers to data, but I will definitely be migrating some voice services to Cell C, starting May 2011.
  2. Putting Trevor on ice was one of the two greatest things Lars has ever done - I couldn't get my finger on the remote quickly enough to change channels. Rory, if you have the hots for Trevor, go for it, but my decision was made despite Trevor, definitely NOT because of Trevor.
  3. I really don't know what the respondents saw in voting Vodacom as "the most innovative Telco". 2010 was the year they started dumpoing a reasonably good website for a disaster. I really can't recall anything "innovative" coming from Vodacom in 2010  Then again, see below...
  4. I notice the 50+ group voted Vodacom the "most innovative" :wtf: REPEAT :wtf: It must be early senility creeping in, NOTHING else. (Oh, before I forget, I'm past the first half-century myself...)
  5. Finally: "Senior managers earning above R750k per annum cited marketing as the biggest lesson that can be learnt from innovative Telcos". I am the "senior manager" of my company, and yes, I do earn more than R750k/yr. I refuse to believe this statement. I consider Cell C to be the most innovative telco DESPITE their marketing. Trevor was worse than the meerkat and Jan on any given day.
Who paid for this study?

I am moving the moment my contract is up. This has nothing to do with marketing and everything to do with lars being in the forum and their great pricing.

Sent from my apple stomping, berry crushing droid! Samsung Galaxy S.

I'll probably switch end of the year as well :/
