Haven't read the entire thread but I have been on champixx twice and its the best thing since sliced cheese. Without it I would probably still be smoking, the cold turkey thing never worked for me.

That being said, some people have different reactions to it, the same as ANY other drug. Some people might fine, others not. So clearly it didn't work for you and your body is not happy, it sucks but at least you tried it and you now know.

He didn't know how to take it though, he had also cut down/stopped cigi's prior to using it. If you check his symptoms they can be related going cold turkey as well.

I have been on it for 3 nights now, i take it with a genpain to ensure no headache :D. Tomorrow morning i start my first morning/night combo. No side effects as yet, headache most likely lol but the genpain makes sure i don't notice it.

Developing a rash and itching all over are caused by nicotine withdrawal? Really?

FFS, stop stirring sh*t.

OMG i gave you link.

From wikipedia
Symptoms: In a 2007 review of the effects of abstinence from tobacco, Hughes concluded that "anger, anxiety, depression, difficulty concentrating, impatience, insomnia, and restlessness are valid withdrawal symptoms that peak within the first week and last 2–4 weeks."[38] In contrast, "constipation, cough, dizziness, increased dreaming, and mouth ulcers" may or may not be symptoms of withdrawal, while drowsiness, fatigue, and certain physical symptoms ("dry mouth, flu symptoms, headaches, heart racing, skin rash, sweating, tremor") were not symptoms of withdrawal.[38]

I highlighted the worst symptoms you had.

Anyways first morning pill and no headache.

The very symptoms you highlighted are stated not to be withdrawl symptoms.

Ive had vivid nightmares, panic attack and what I would say near hallucinations and confusion from a medication called ciploxx. It turned out I was highly allergic to it! Since then I always read the side effects so that if medication doesn't agree well you are aware of it before it progresses.

After 3 days on Champix, I can say with conviction that is just not worth the money or a person's health or sanity.

Soon after the 1st tablet, I developed a splitting headache, followed by itching all over my body.
Then followed a rash like huge pimples on my face. I didn't mind the vivid dreams and also the fact that I had absolutely no craving for a cigarette or to binge eat.

Last night I was in the garage, fiddled around a bit, went to the lounge, sat down and got the WEIRDEST feeling that I was still in the garage. I had to pinch myself, shake my head, get up and look around to make sure that I was in the lounge.

That does it for me. I would rather smoke than to deal with hallucinations, headaches, nausea and itching.

Champix gets a thumbs down from me.

I did it no issues at all. Quit smoking fine. I have heard if you have mental illness predispositions it can impact you badly. I have a cousin who is a full on depressed human who cant take this as it makes their depression worse. For most normal people you wont get hallucinations.

Without Champix me and half my family would still be smoking. We almost all managed to quit.
