Change IP address NeoConnectLite

Hi

I recently got my NeoConnectLite device and I would like to know how I can change my IP address without having to disconnect from the internet.

I have already tried (from cmd):
ipconfig /release

But I get this error:
"Windows IP Configuration

The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for
this operation."


Is it even possible to change my IP address on the fly, so to speak?
Is there any freeware that can do this for me?

You cannot release or renew your IP once a connection is active as the Dynamic IP supplied by Neotel relies on their DHCP Configuration. The only thing you will change more than anything else is your LAN IP.

Only way to change IP is to disconnect and reconnect.

If you are trying to change your IP address for your browsing, you can configure your internet browser to use a proxy server.
